Build your Pallet Table today.
So, you might think it’s just another classic pallet table. Sorry i will disappoint you. It’s a very cool pallet table. Why’s that? For 5 Reasons.
1) It’s DIY (obviously)
2) It’s hand-drawn (Ioan as artist)
3) It’s XBMC-ready
4) It’s double-face
5) It’s mine
What will you need?
- 2 Pallets 71×101 (Try to find the most unused one. If your living-room is not spacious you can use 61×86 pallets)
- Black color for wood (1/4 kg water-based in order to avoid odours)
- Varnish for wood (1/2 kg Choose a colorless)
- Stucco for wood (1/4 kg Choose a light color)
- Carpenter tools (drill-sander-jigsaw)
- Time
- Patience
- One artist to draw something for you

Step 1) You rub the two pallets with the sander until both of them are cleaned from dirts and smooth enough. This one is not easy. I spent at least 6 hours on this.

Step 2) Use now screws and screwdriver to connect the two pallets.

Step 3) Now use the stucco to fill the gaps of any screw or any holes in the pallets. Leave it as it is for 3 hours to dry itself.

Step 4) Now rub again the pallets where you placed the stucco.
Step 5) Now you have to create stands for your table. You can also buy if you want to, but DIY is always better. In my case I used pallet stands and screws to create table stands.

Step 6) Drill the table to adjust the legs (In my case I drilled it on both sides because I made a double side table.

Step 7) Reserve your artist. Believe me do it long before because this type of people are pretty posh, or you have to wait for them a long time.

Step 8) Let the artist draw your table. (make him a coffee as soon as he comes to your place)

Step 9) When the drawing ends start painting. (if you use water-based color you can also do it indoors)

Step 10) When the artist gets bored, you have to take over and do the easy part by yourself.

Step 11) Once its ready leave the table for one day to dry itself

Step 12) When ready use the varnish. Don’t omit this step. Otherwise your table will be unprotected.

Step 13) Use some boxes to decorate it. I bought 2 sets of these from IKEA.

Last Step 14) Reassure that it copes well with XBMC. Hahaha.
